For someone who wasn't a fan of gen 3, does it look like they are making improvements, or is this one of those "WE MUZT STAY AS TRUE AS POSSIBLE TO ORIGINAL!" remakes? I haven't really been paying attention.

Also if I do decide to get this game, is there any reason to not just pokebank everyone over from X and then sell it?

So far it seems they're making improvements to the original, if you count things such as the contests and secret bases. They also added some new places to the region.

One complaint is the exterior of the Gyms. Why does it look like a tool shed? seriously, I miss Gen V's gym exteriors along with the custom gym music themes for the interiors.

That they're gonna be as great a remake as HG/SS were for G/S/C. Especially since R/S/E are my personal favorites.

I'm not that much into megas, but since I'm pretty damn sure Camerupt and Sharpedo are gonna get megas I'm just curious what they're gonna look like.

I really just wanted Secret Bases to return with added StreetPass functionality. The fact they added more items, removed the 16-item limit and added even more rad new features on top of it gets me hyped like nothing else.
That, and just the improved graphics/music. Can't wait to see how best region looks in 3D.

Contests throw you into a set costume, sprite of the trainer appears in match ups (that would require a lot of variants), Pokemon Centres don't have dressing rooms and Marts don't appear to sell clothing.

None of the trailers or screenshots have even shown different hats. There's no reason for them to be keeping it secret for a big reveal like with X and Y.

It's gone.

On the matter of the Battle Frontier. I really want that to be included too. Heck, they can fuck up the main story, but if they'll nail that one thing I'll be content. This is partially wishful thinking, but here's why I think it makes sense from a business point of view to include it.

If there's no battle related challenge during the post-game besides the Battle Tower (which already exists in XY in form of the Maison), most people won't want to transfer their trained Pokemon from XY to ORAS. And how do you primarily do that if you don't just happen to have two 3DS (which I assume most people don't) ? With Pokebank and that costs money.

And because the Battle Frontier concept is already there in Emerald, they really only have to change it slightly to account for the change in mechanics and stuff.

Anyways if they don't include the Battle Frontier, I'll be eternally buttdevestated, I can tell you that much.

I really hope Rayquaza gets a primal, and from the regular mons I want Shiftry or walrein to get a mega. maybe even ninjask/shedinja but i doubt itll ever happen.
The story has me most hyped!
Replaying the region with better mechanics and updated graphics will be great fun.

Id really love if they added new unseen areas and islands to it.
