Say there was a pokemon drafting format... Imagine fantasy football draft except it's maybe 20-50 or so players drafting pokemon one at a time, then at the end after everyone has 6 pokemon they set their EVs and moves and start battling.

If such a thing existed, what sort of pokemon would be the top picks? Would it be more important to go for offensive power first or would it be more wise to pick defensive or utility pokemon? I was thinking there are probably more outstanding sweepers than outstanding walls and utility mons, it might actually be smarter to get your pick of the defensive core mons. The best picks overall, though, might be things like Garchomp that can function well in a variety of roles from offense to defense. Would Chomp be first round first pick 100% of the time?
