Confidence can take you much farther than you realize. Seriously, if you are always second-guessing yourself, others will second-guess you too. But if you are that awesome guy that everyone likes, no one is going to care what you enjoy.
Of course, I'm not telling you to be a complete sperglord on people with this confidence... Just stop being afraid to enjoy the things you like. It doesn't matter nearly as much as you think it is.
Also, you'd be surprised how many people actually really like Pokemon. When I was in college, the amount of people that didn't like Pokemon was actually below the half mark.
