With the introduction of janitors and enforcement of global rule 11 livestreams pretty much went out the window, and most people couldn't be assed to make OC comics of their playthrough on top of actually playing as time went on. And Nuzlocke himself called it quits as well, that's never good for morale.
It was good for what it was and had a good run, but like everything else eventually it wore thin.
