If I remember correctly, Sleep/Confusion/Paralysis replace each other but stack with both Poison and Burn.

The TCG meta is nuts.

A few years ago me and some buds picked up the torunament packs,

My friends had literally 6 energy total.
4 magikarp
4 gyrados

and absolutly everything else in the deck was about killing magicarp and summoning gyrados.

And if you don't you'd sure as hell be running pokemon center lady or some other status healer.

Aromatisse(? I think, can't remember which for sure) has an ability that prevents your entire team from getting status'd and heals any that are already in effect.

There's also the new robe/cloak tool card that prevents status effects.
