Where did you grind the most when you first played, apart from the areas before Pewter? I know it's probably been a while, but try to think back.

For me it was Diglett Cave, since at that point I think only my Pidgeotto and Pikachu were actually trained. I would routinely go back there because, damn, those Dugtrio encounters got me so crunk.
