At the second turn M-Sharpedo is already a 142 base speed Pokémon. At the third turn, who knows what kinda boost it will receive (possibly the fastest Pokémon in game)

Only priority can take it down, but then again

In Gen 5 Blastiose only had access to Water Pulse. It got Dark Pulse, Dragon Pulse and Aura Sphere through breeding and level up. It will happen again with Sharpedo, much like Lopunny having access to High Jump Kick now and Shiftry getting Leaf Blade.

Still depending on its attack stat which could grow up to 150, Crunch could be terrifying. It almost does 50% to an Azumarill for example although it's resisted, so that's really not bad.
It will be really good late game because...

Blame the fish. If they just made Magikarp a baby or something so Gyarados can breed it would get Crunch. It would also need something other than Bounce for its Flying type STAB.
