Apologies if this is asked here too often, but I skipped Black/White and the sequels. If I want to get into them now, should I start with B/W or can I go straight to B2/W2? I'm not too concerned with the story, but I don't want to be completely lost.

Just go with the sequels. They're pretty much the 2nd version that improve a lot of issues that Black/White had.

You can start with both.
You won't miss much of BW's story in B2W2 because they'll explain it a bit for you. Though it's better to play BW to fully understand.

Though you'll miss the changes in the region and some gameplay aesthetics.

Yeah if you don't care that much about the story then get B2W2 because it's a longer game with more post-game content

Learned it the hard way. No Wi-Fi either, but still plenty to do.

BW2 tells you enough about what happened in the first game, which isn't too hard to grasp, considering it's a kids game. Get the sequel, it has a shit-ton more to do in it, and much more Pokemon to catch.

Just emulate them both. BW is good in different ways than BW2, and BW2 expects you to know what happened in BW to get anything out of the game. You say story is unimportant, but in Gen 5 they shove it down your throat so often that you either get immersed or write the game off as shit.
