I can't tell you how often my Inner Focus Lucario gets faked-out on Showdown, even at higher ladder rankings. It also helps me to make sure I can kill threats like TR setups and such. It's very common to have a TR setter and a fakeout user lead in doubles.

Inner Focus is super useful in doubles. If you don't have Inner Focus or two Pokemon immune to Fakeout, you're fucked.

Not even that. It'll probably still have shit Defence like Gardevoir (because GameFreak LOVES making counterparts out of everything), so both Fake Out and Sucker Punch will hurt like a bitch. Thats of course assuming Mega Gallade is faster than Mega Mom in the first place, because if it isnt it will just get rekt by Return or Double Edge. It'll be outclassed in that role by normal Lucario, who actually resists both Sucker Punch and Fake Out and doesn't hog your Mega slot.

But she can't get to +2 against something that quad resists fighting. Gallade's Drain Punch threatens to heal off more than she can chip if she doesnt kill it right away. If it Bulks Up once, shes dead to prior or additional damage. If it Swords dances, its deadder than Breloom covered in chicken feed.

Okay guys, we know that Gardevoir and Gallade have the exact same stats besides Attack and Special Attack being swapped. I think it's perfectly reasonable to assume that this happens with Megas too, so this is what we're talking about:

Mega Gallade
Type: Psychic/Fighting
Ability: Inner Focus
HP: 68
Attack: 165 (+40)
Defense: 65
Special Attack: 85 (+20)
Special Defense: 135 (+20)
Speed: 100 (+20)

There's no denying that this looks pretty bad.The ability is fucking useless, and while the 165 Attack is nice, M-Gallade will still have that horrendous 68/65 physical bulk. The claim that M-Gallade counters M-Kanga is absolutely retarded. The two have the same Speed stat, so you can assume that Gallade always goes first. Gallade is also guaranteed to lose over 60% of its HP (over 70% if Kanga is Adamant) if hit by an UNBOOSTED Sucker Punch. Return is always a guaranteed OHKO, so M-Gallade can't reliably even check M-Kanga. There is absolutely no reason to use this Mega. If for whatever reason you must have a Psychic/Fighting Mega in your team, you should go for M-Medicham, who is equally fast, hits much harder and has better coverage options such as the elemental punches. M-Gallade will be a M-Banette tier Mega, no question about it.

Reminder for singles kids, that this ability is top notch in doubles. Being able to stop someone's fake out is a huge pain in the ass for them. This is especially good on Gallade since Mega Kan is the most common Fake Out user.

That is because Gamefreak fucked up. They introduce stronger and stronger shit that cannot be handled by the majority of Pokémon. I wonder if they even play their own game. Megas are part of the problem. They should've reduced their stat boost to something like +50 or a little more if they wanted a healthy metagame, so you would have a trade off where the regular form might do certain things better like hitting harder with a life orb or taking special attacks better with assault vest, while the mega has better stats overall.

The only way of saving it is if they don't go "it'll just be a mirror of Gardevoir" route and give it some really min-maxed stat spread. It'll have 618 BST, which is nice.

Mega Mom is handled just fine with Intimidate/Wisp spam, ghosts and smart plays. No one is going to waste their mega slot on this piece of shit, not when they can just use Mom/Y-zard/Mawile and have something that hits hard. All you "lol they don't care about singles" fags can go eat a dick, Gamefreak has once again made a doubles-centric pokemon that won't even be good in doubles because they completely misunderstand the ONE META that they care about.

Granted there is only one move that you would normally ever abuse with her paired with pixilate but its kind of a big one:

Start off at base 90 which is pretty good, pixie stix makes it STAB so then its a 135 bp move, add to that the 30% boost from converted moves and its a 175 bp move.
That hits all adjacent enemies in doubles/triples but not teammates.
With exactly 0 drawbacks to using and 100% accuracy.
That goes through subs.
And the user has 165 special attack.

One trick pony sure, but its a pretty fucking neato trick, I'd hardly call pixilate shit.
