If you're anything like me, you'll have noticed the influx of Hoennbabbies since the announcement of OR/AS.

I've often regarded this part of the community as the absolute worst. They're the Genwunners of the franchise, who never left. The "My childhood is better than the kids today" 90's kids of the series.

With OR/AS coming out, I noticed my once popular opinions becoming drowned in Hoenn Hype, and I was wondering, am I the only person left on /vp/ who DOESN'T like Hoenn, or has been disappointed with the progress of the Remakes?

Don't get my wrong, when the announcement dropped. A lot of the things I disliked about Hoenn, such as the poor "tropical" feel, grating music, and abysmal Regional Dex, would be fixed, and with Team B in charge, I thought the games would be amazing. Another Gem like HG/SS, filled with content.

But the longer we wait, the less hyped I am. The screenshots have shown that the remake is almost 100% identicle, meaning the outdated blocky puddles and paths are back, causing the region to feel like it was made in Minecraft.

The mega designs are lackluster and uninspired.

And the redesigns of the Gym leaders? Well they're actually fitting, in that they're bland as fuck, for bland as fuck characters.

Not to mention, seemingly no customization? In the games that finally let us be Gym Leaders, they take away the ability to design your own character? Are they crazy?

So tell me, /tr/rainers, be my pal; Am I alone here?

Anybody else dissapointed in OR/AS so far? Anybody else dislike Gen 3 and Hoenn in General?
