First drafts for viability threads are always pretty bad and require tons of iteration. It's why viability threads are always some of the largest threads on the forums. Skimming over it, I disagree with Gourgeist, Swalot, and Dustox, but everything else looks about right. It could be that those three are ranked for their viability when stacked against something else that does their job significantly better than they can, which is certainly possible since PU is rather large.

I've been testing items on it as a revenge killer a sweeper or a wall breaker, but there were always situations I rather wanted to use Ursaring, because it just has a superior movepool and it has access to Guts or Quick Feet.

and I love Pachirisu. I honestly try using it in singles and it's not that great. The only thing its got going for it is the Volt Absorb + Super Fang niche it has which isn't much at all. I wish Pachi had better defenses/HP because it's got decent support moves.

You fail to understand that the average scrub has no idea of why Pachirisu worked on Sejun's team and that the circumstances of VGC14 were so unique that even it was able to shine at his super duper mega hyper niche.

Wow, I thought Beedrill would be on there. I was surprised he wasn't. Anyway, the only one on there I ever used extensively was Vespiquen in NU, where it was quite disappointing due to all the stealth rocks. I ended up using both Avalugg and Sandslash as Rapid Spinners to keep the hazards away, and even then it still got screwed by all the blizzards and flare blitzes running around. I really wanted it to work since it has good stats and decent moves but the thing just has too many dang weaknesses to be the tank it desperately wants to be.

It's a favorite of mine but competitively outside VGC it's not viable at all tbh. It stops volt switching and super fang is ok, but that is not nearly enough to merit anything but PU E-rank.

I'm glad Pachi got a showing at VGC finals but holy shit, it's not like it actually can do anything besides half HP and spread status.

make it bug/fairy and give it a good defensive ability. Resisting dark and ground quad resisting fighting without as crippling a rock weakness is very nice. With Defend+heal order, she can be an amazing defensive pokemon.

Why not Aroma Veil? Aren't queen bees supposed to control the other bees because of their pheromones or something like that? Aroma Veil would be very fitting thematically and a defensive Pokemon as well.

Sometimes it bothers me that Gamefreak shows that they have no problem making incredibly good and competitive pokemon (Aegislash) and then just sort of half-ass everything else.

I know not everything can be a powerhouse, but here we have pokemon that are still terrible even when you've removed 200 much better pokemon.

Avalugg is the second most physically bulky pokemon in the game, has rapid spin and reliable recovery, and has a respectably large attack stat.

But it is Ice type.

And not even good in PU.

Let that sink in.

Not really, Ice will ALWAYS be a downside defensively speaking. Which is why most Ice types are shit, because Gamefreak keeps having the marvelous idea of making them all slow and bulky instead of frail, fast and hard hitter.

The thing is that, whatever it's paired with, you're still worse off for having ice type (defensively.) If it's not a fast and powerful pokemon, Ice type just ruins it (I know Mamoswine isn't that fast but the ground typing and Thick Fat really help.)

Mamoswine.

Weaville even got banned from that pseudo-metagame where everyone could run a your type-ite ability and he was utterly broken with Refrigerate.

We even have Kyurem W in Ubers.

While Ice being shit defensively is a issue and some resistances wouldn't kill it, the biggest problem is that Ice types capable of abusing Ice amazing offensive capabilities are practically non-existant.
