My cousin has a serious form of asthma that clears up in good air almost completely. She has extremely bad asthma attacks near a lot of allergens and has to use a nebulizer.

I always figured this was what wally had.

My guess is Victory Road. You can see the exit in the distance (IIRC he battled you at the end of VR?), and he looks kinda determined, which he isn't until that final battle.
