Nah, gen 7 is odd, we won't get additions to existing lines.

Gamefreak also fucking hates "having" to do anything in particular. Gen 8 will give us some more megas and the next bright idea gamefreak has, probably pseudo-megas for NFE pokemon that evolve by stones.

ORAS Hoenn: player, Wally, Maxie, Archie, Steven, Lisia...

Hoenn has more trainers with mega-evolutions than the region that it friggin' originated from.
