Ice Climbers where fun and creative. They were a simple concept, but used to the utmost effectiveness.

I don't know anything about Mach Rider, but Duck Hunt dog has nothing creative about him. He's just a dog from a game. There's nothing creative about him.

Play the original Ice Climbers game, then play then in brawl. They used the moves they were given to create something creative and different.

I can live with Mach Rider or Duck Hunt being is smash, it's the needless fact that Ice Climbers were cut that makes me upset. It shows that Sakurai truly doesn't care about the integrity of the games anymore

So far Mega Man is legit, but I only have the demo. I main Samus in Melee so I need to try her out.

If something doesn't work then it doesn't work. I'd rather have no Ice Climbers than a finished product with slowdown glitches.

Also the word is Staple, not stable. Obviously they aren't a stable of the series if they don't work in Smash 3ds

They DID put effort into making them work. The reason we know that they're cut due to programming issues is Sakurai said in an interview that they were trying to get the Ice Climbers to work, the fact they were cut means they couldn't find a way.

Its more than likely not because they were lazy, but rather they just couldn't find a way to make the Ice Climbers a smoothly working character in the game. Even if you try your hardest to fix something, it doesn't always turn out the way you want it to. That's just how programming goes and there's nothing either of us can do about it.

So rather than leave a broken character or character that negatively affects the game in your final product, you're going to replace it with something that actually does work so then your final product works as desired. This isn't 1989 anymore, you can't just say "oops lol I uh guess we didn't do enough playtesting, sorry for the broken shit!" and get away with it.
