I played like a little kid all the pokemon games, yellow, sapphire, emerald and then diamond, which came when I was 13 at the time I think. I never took pokemon seriously in my life, just picking a starter, using only the starter and once I finished the league starting the game again with a different starter, full retard, hah?
I left pokemon, that childish thing was never to be touched again, that's for kids, right? I sold my games, game my sapphire and emerald to my little cousin and kept my ds with other games
fast forward two years later, I'm sixteen and I'm about to go for a full year to USA to live in Virginia. They kick me out of virginia and I go to a boarding school in Lake Tahoe. Go back to my country for christmas and when I'm about to get back I say, "Maybe pokemon wasn't that bad" so I shamefully pick a second hand copy of pokemon platino at gamestop and play it on my plane back to California, this time playing properly with a good team building and strategy. When I finished platinum I went to a gamestop, this time in Reno, to get a second hand copy of pokemon white, too bad that I got pokemon black instead, but meh
Regardless, that's when I went full nerd, IVs, EVs, Teambuilding, muh pebbles, etc. I remember getting pokemon black 2 second handed, but loosing it, somehow, and then discussions and retarded hyping in /vp/ for pokemon x and y, and now for pokemon ORAS
It's a shame that I lost my pokemon sapphire and ruby, but I still have the team I beat platinum with in my X game
