I'm considering getting both but not 100% yet. I don't care for plot in pokemon and it's a remake anyway so the story should be much different from RSE if at all. I already know how it's gonna be, it's literally just X and Y in Hoenn. It'll be too easy, as with most pokemon games but I feel they'll go full on with the easiness. A difficulty mode would be great but knowing Gamefreak, they add and remove things all the time so it most likely won't be in. I'm still excited for it though, as RSE was fun and exploring Hoenn is 3D will be a good time.

Both, I'll play Alpha Sapphire first and that'll be my main file. Omega Ruby I plan to use for Nuzlockes, Monotypes, etc.

Yes, it's recently one of the things I've been looking forward to the most. By the looks of it, they're making the admins more important and giving them all personalities. I also love the fact that Team Magma are all sophisticated lab geeks and Team Aqua are all goofy pirates. These have definitely been the greatest additions to the remakes and I can't wait to finally see them in game and learn more about them.

Yes, I'm happy that we're getting a demo for a mainline Pokemon game, since I'm pretty sure it's never happened before. Will whatever we obtain in the demo's be transferable to the real game? If so, that would be great.
I've never really liked Mega's too much and I'm not too fond of them being in a remake of a game that didn't have them but I'm cool with it. If the games easier, mega's will make it slightly more harder and some of the mega's I do really like.

I can say, almost without a doubt, that they will be too easy, just like X/Y, even with the Exp. Share turned off. It'll be great to fight Archie, Maxie and Wally with there mega evolved Pokemon but other then that, the games as a whole will definitely be easier then the original R/S/E, this is fortunately, the only fear I have for the remakes and even if it's true and the games are easier, I'm just going to add a bunch of rules to make it somewhat more difficult.

I hope Jirachi and Deoxys aren't events and they make Birth Island regularly accessible as a side quest. They could split the Creation trip up so that OR has Palkia and AS has Dialga while both get Giratina. Also, make Navel Rock a non-event because we haven't seen either Lugia or Ho-Oh in four years.

In the sense that the remakes might actually improve it, yes. I actually dislike Gen 3 a lot. It fucked up on a lot of things, but the remake has the chance to give the games some much needed charm. Like HG/SS, the attention to the admins has already helped the villain teams. Before I regarded them as the worst teams, because they were just mindless and retarded, but the Admins seems to have enough character to give their teams some life. It's also obvious that AS and OR are actually going to be hybrids of R/S and E, so I am wondering what the re-visioned version of the plot is going to be like. Like HG/SS, we will probably have the chance to capture all of the legendaries, so perhaps the much needed post-game expansion will involve you battling the second villain team?

Lolno. And the new Mega's are all shit anyway.

Game will be too easy, Post-Game way too small. The Regional Dex and dispersement of Pokémon will remain unfixed, meaning routes full of Wingull and Tentacool will return. I think Secret Bases will be flawed and near useless, and there will be no Trainer Customization, so even being a Gym Leader isn't going to feel as good. Worst of all however, is the Hoennbabbies will insist it is the greatest game in Pokémon ever, despite games like HG/SS outdoing it in quality and quantity of content. 5 years down the line, they'll still insist OR/AS is the best, and they always will.

Go and compare Kalos to OR/AS's Hoenn.

OR/AS looks like it was put together in fucking minecraft. All the textures are dumbed down, and the paths and fucking WATER are all blocky.

Now this is because of two reasons;

The shittiness is because Hoenn has longer routes, and they couldn't have it look as pristine as Kalos.

The blockiness is a shitty attempt at making sure the games are faithful for the hoennbabbies. The irony is they were all crying out for a glorious Gen 6 remake to bring their tropical dreams to life, and what we are getting is a region that looks like it's one big garden. Couldn't look any less tropical.

Worst Region? Disputable. I definitely think it's one of the worst. But best looking game? Nope, X/Y still has that.

What I anticipate will be RIGHT with the game is the post game. Considering Emerald's post game, the remake design team's history, and the new features available already, I think ORAS will be the most "complete" Pokemon games so far.

In fact, the second one is always 30 levels higher, and more of a challenge, so if you wanna' destroy Aqua and then have a challenging battle against Groudon, you're better off getting AS.

The make or break point for this game will be post game content. I never really cared for the battle frontiers, so when people kept urging me to play emerald after hating sapphire, because of the awesome post game content, only for the battle frontier to be the only thing to do extra, I was a bit annoyed.

Sorry, I've always hated battle frontiers. I would however, probably like them 200 times more if they had options for 6 pokemon teams. Otherwise I find 3 pokemon battling styles to be absolutely intolerable.

Did ANY of Emerald's towers have 6 pokemon parties, I never really got too deep into Emerald's frontier.

I like that they're giving the Teams more personality. I'm just hoping that Brendan/May fully evolve their starter this time and you get to interact with Wally more before Victory Road. I especially want to see how he gets his mega stone on-screen instead of him just suddenly showing up with it.

No trainer customization would be a bummer but I wouldn't be that upset over it. The only real way they could fuck this up for me is if there's no Battle Frontier which is pretty unlikely. If there is a Challenge Mode I hope you can get it from the start instead of the key bullshit from BW2 and as for the difficulty I'm not too worried about it. I think Brawly was nerfed only so little kids wouldn't have to grind in order to get off Dewford anymore.

I see A TON of legendaries being obtainable in this game. A TON.

Also, I know I listed almost all of the legendaries which can be captured in-game throughout the generations, but I listed them in an order which I think is their chance of getting in. Also, a lot of the legendaries on the list will definitely be saved for Pokemon Z, but which ones we can't tell yet.

I'd be hyped, but I'm too worried trainer customization wont be in. If it's not, and it's looking like it isn't, then I'm not sure I'll get it. At first I thought that no matter what I'd get it for that Diancie megastone, but since Diancie is Gamestop exclusive and I'm not driving an hour to get to a shitty chain, I can't even get a pokemon out of it. Not much. If they make MegaStones an aftergame thing again, that'd be rather annoying. I could see them mussing up the Trick House and post game a bit. I just hope there's something like the Challenger's Cave where trainers cycle in and out daily or something.

If I don't get both, I'll likely only get AS because I had Sapphire as a kid, also I like team aqua.

I generally don't worry about stupid small shit like that. Past experience has told me that when GF remakes their games it's pretty much the best pokemon games for a while (ie, dat interface and just overall enjoy ability of HGSS)
So other than the core problems that were already present in gen 3 (non-mechanics based) like having to surf through half the world, and the plot being pants on head retarded, I think ORAS should be pretty solid.
