Two things I hate about Pokemon:
1) Any bros I catch and use in-game will be complete garbage stats-wise and useless competitively.
2) If I just breed perfect mons and trade them all over at the start of a new game, the game is no longer fun to me. There's no sense of adventure and everything is too pre-ordained.
So, what I am currently in the process of doing is breeding about 10-15 perfect Hoenn mons that I will likely end up using. Once I catch a pokemon of the same species in Alpha Sapphire, I will raise the perfectly bred mon in X to exactly that level using rare candies and swap them. That way, I will have a perfect mon but it will be as if I just caught it in my playthrough, and I can use it competitively later if I so choose.
