It's always been a part of my life, ever since Red and Blue came out when I was young. I don't think I can imagine a part of my life where I didn't play Pokemon on either GB/GBC/GBA/DS/3DS/etc.

pokemon brought my family together.
helped a scattered family tree recover from death, divorce, and adjusting to a larger family.

sisters played RBY&GSC, stepmom played TGC..

pokemon, zelda OoT, and mario series to name a few were big parts of my childhood

I got my wife back into Pokemon back when we were just friends. She relied on my mental Pokedex a lot for type matchups and stuff, which played a part in us dating and eventually getting married.

Porn wise and really another bridge to connect me and my friends to have fun on. It is a fun game series, the tv show is eh sometimes and sometimes nice to watch. That warm nostalgic feeling that never really leaves no matter how new and revamped the games get.
