Gen 3 had the best soundtrack, factoring in both RSE and FRLG:
-The Sevii Islands' remixes of the Johto choons were better than HGSS's.
-Hoenn had the best route themes, trumpets notwithstanding.
-RSE/FRLG had the two best elite four themes.

DPPT are grossly overrated, featuring some of the ugliest Pokemon designs and legendaries by far in the entire series. While Platinum was still a good game, it's difficulty is RIDICULOUSLY overstated here, the point where I'm wondering if we even played the same game. I actually thought the difficulty was a step-down from Emerald, which still remains a better game.

Unova gets too much hate.

Almost as much as Lucario but I think it's because of recent "Inclusion" events Zoroark has been able to stay off 'kids who think it's cool to hate its' radar.

It's hard to like anything with actual fur anymore here without terrifyingly false accusations.
