Funny, really

I remember Steven was some random guy Ash runs into in the anime, and Wallace was hyped up as this kickass Champion and master Coordinator who had several episodes to his name. I like Wallace more than most, but it always seemed weird the anime writers fellated him so hard when Steven is the more popular champ.

Thing is, if you weren't a main character, a character from the past or a rival, you get shit treatment in the Advanced series.

Lance was given "given" some developments, like making him a member of a Pokémon protecting agency or some shit. He was the one who helped Ash and friends durring the Team Aqua/Magma shit 2 parter. It could've been Steven, but nope, it was Lance.

XY is not that different from the previous series, I honestly got bored with it after some episodes, even though I still watch it.
