They'll never give us regular evolutions again.
All new pokemon that they make for future generations will never evolve, they'll all just be 1 stage pokemon that get megas.

And I'm sure that eventually GF will make an eeveelution for most, if not all, types that are available. If they keep adding one or two new ones each generation we're bound to have an eevee of every type eventually.

I questioned this as soon as Megas were confirmed. Im not sure, but I thought I heard GF say they planned on not making anymore new Pokemon. I mean I can kinda see why at first, but I just questioned where things would go after a few years of nothing but Megas.

I think the problem (from their perspective) is that the pokedex is getting gigantic and they need a solution. They probably see megas as a way to inflate the number of new things that they can have in the game without adding too much to the dex.
