I haven't even played Gates to Infinity, I just saw that severely neutered roster of acquirable mons and went NOPE, not worth my time or money to mess with. I loved the shit out of Explorers of Sky, partly just because of the massive team variety you could do. So if they want the next PMD to be good, they need a full roster, even if they have to revert to no longer using 3D sprites.

I hope they learn from their mistakes and get their hit together this time, 3D is fine, but everything just felt really slow, and small (in the sense that there wasn't nearly as many Pokemon as the other games)

I also hope for megas, so all Pokemon who can mega should be starters for one (as well as some others as well)

The roster will be improved compared to GTI, but it won't have all 719. It'd probably have around 400-500 and would be mostly based off the Kalos regional Dex, and, hopefully, will have all the starters available among starter choices.

They'd casualize the shit out of it to match the difficulty of XY, though maybe they'd have a token bonus dungeon or two that are as good as the bonus dungeons from the earlier games.

PMD I think is better than the main series. I only played one Ranger game, and it was meh, but I think it'd be worth looking at through emulation.

Also >>20982976 is right; if you like the other games you might want to see GTI, but definitely don't make it your first one.

I just want to be able to answer the questions again so I can feel like a special snowflake when I finally soft reset enough times to get the Pokemon that "fits me" the best. And not have to choose between shitty starters and Pokemon nobody likes.
