And now I'm completely stumped. I know two grass-types is silly, but I really want to use both. And for any other members I have honestly no idea. I have to see if they expand Hoenn dex and how much.

When it came to putting together a team I have a few solid rules.

- Always at least 1 fighting type (Personal favorite type)

- Never use a pokemon I've used before (I have dozens of level 100 pokemon sitting in boxes, most of which I hand raised and recently super trained for optimization so keeping a list is a priority)

- If it's a new gen, the first team is all new pokemon and assembled without outside assistance.

- if it's same gen, the newer game gets handmedowns from the last one to go with the starter I pick.

Is this all pretty OCD? You bet your ass. Just like saving in Pokemon Centers and pressing Down+B.

As for the team I'm planning on using?

>Blastoise, Miltank, Blaziken, Weavile, Lilligant, and Noivern

The plan going into this team was in keeping with the above rules AND finally having a team with representatives from every gen as a gimmick.

I actually aim to do this as well. Sure, sometimes I throw old favourite or two in but usually I try something new.

One of my personal favorites from gen 3, also because this thing absolutely wrecked the Elite 4 (before the physical/special split)

Huh. I can't actually remember my 6th guy. I want to say Camerupt because fire types, but I don't think I had one.
And emerald is my favourite Pokemon... huh.
