It was okay in the olden days but now its just outclassed.

They could make a mega evolution with Bad Dreams but even then it only gets Hypnosis. Still would be hilarious to pair with Darkrai in multis.

Only in the first 2 gens. It was more of a Psychic Chansey with an offensive presence(which Alakazam does the offensive Psychic role better). It had a semi-niche while being semi-outclassed.

Only shit you serious? It's just as bad as non gen 3 Chansey/Blissey missing Wish and non gen 3 Kangaskhan missing Seismic Toss. Gamefreak needs to get their shit together and make all the gen 3 exclusive moves available in the recent installments.

Back before the special/physical split, in RBY he was pretty decent.

He could be a good wall and use counter as well as using all the elemental punches. But he was totally outclassed by Alakazam and probably always will be.

It's like comparing Mega Houndoom to Mega Charizard Y today.

Simulators should adapt to the current metagame, If Hypno could pass wish by breeding then ok, but it can't, so that makes the move unavailable on it.
