yea, i dont like them either.
for a newly concept, they're overused. never to be seen again are the shiny stones, dusk stone, split evolutions based on gender, or even previous pokemons gaining new evolutions.
well, i think the concept of them needs to be reconned. if it looked more like an actual evolution instead of that random bubble bursting from a shell, i would feel it more fitting. and maybe for it to have nothing to do with trainers so SSB and the new pokken would make more sense
