And I gotta say, new types and retcon are much more welcome than fuckin' megas (most of them are op as fuck and we lose the opportunity to see true evoloutions of certain pokemon).

Yeah, I hate this argument. So we get to see a new evolution for lets see, Mawile. Could a regular evolution REALLY do that much for it? Fuck no.

Or Manectric. The Pokemon that was UU last generation went straight up to OU thanks to its Mega. Same thing with Medicham. And Charizard, look at Charizard. Thanks to it's Mega it's gone all the way up to OU.

Where it fits in the type chart:

SOUND TYPE
>types it is strong against
Bug (high-pitched frequency hurts bugs)
Steel (reverberates on steel, hurting pokemon)
Water (sound travels faster through liquids)

Grass (vegetation as a sound barrier/absorber)
Ground (compacted earth slows sound waves down)
Ice (again, compacted ice slows sound waves down)

Fire (refracts sound, cannot defend against it)
Electricity (again, lack of defence against plasma forces with sound)

You can add "strong against Psychic" to this list too, but frankly Psychic has had enough nerfing done to it recently.

well nigga try again, I'd rather have a viable costant Mawile evolution than an OP temporary one.
I don't give a fuck about smogon's ranks, and there are so many better ways to spice up the metagame, like the additon of the obvious fairy and sound type. We have the mons, we have te moves, we just need a real retcon.

Actually the next type to be introduced, Gen 7, is known as Hybrid. The idea was pitched about six months ago, and has been a staple in the upcoming games. What they would like to do is find a way for Pokemon with less purpose to become more valued in the hearts of the players. Hybrid will give a way to create powerful new Pokemon using an evolution method that will bring two Pokemon types together that will change their typing (and appearance).Hybrid will not have more than a two type Pokemon, Hybrid can be done with Pokemon with two typing each and they may change. Opening up the new hybrid Pokemon to new move pools, defenses, stats, and possibly weaknesses.

You can quote me as an unofficial source for now, and no this isn't 'head cannon.' This is an actual real type that is coming, you'll start to see more rumors about it crop up in 2015, and eventually the reveal will be for the next Gen.

Let me tell you something. In an interview about designing the gen VI pokemon from a competitive standpoint some gamefreak employees talk about how King's Shield not blocking status was deliberate, they assumed most people would use it as the go-to strategy for handling aegislash.

They were absolutely bewildered that rather than risk it, people instead elected to use special attacking Aegislash. They totally hadn't considered it a possiblity and were downright surprised by it, despite Aegislash's shadowball being stronger than his shadow claw.

GameFreak has no idea how their own game works.
