Its Mega Evo should of really been Water/Dragon. I see no good reason to why it shouldn't have been, it would make the most sense thematically, and would allow it to run things like Outrage effectively. Dark is such a lackluster typing on Gyarados.

Are you equating fly a two turn 90 base power move to a single turn 120 base power move coming off of an increased priority mon?

Gyarados's attack is better but even still wasting two turns to do 90 base damage you might as well use a water type move on pretty much anything but it cant learn fly so this entire debate is pointless
