I'm pretty sure we'll see a mega castform given to us. It'll be the normal castform but holding its mega stone when we get it from the weather centre. It could also be the first mega evolution the player can use.

Oh I'm sure we'll be able to get the mega of our starter, but we receive castform at a lower level, so chances our, our starter may not be fully evolved by then.
