To those speculating about May: the ORAS movie is also a possibility (honestly, I think it's more likely than the television series). Given her VA's return to work was only recent, I'm not sure they'd have had the time to put her in there for ORAS episodes.

They didn't directly say they respected each other, you could just feel it in their interactions, that they came to respect each other as worthy opponents. There's really not much more you need to do with Paul, and it'd be hard to outdo that last battle between them if you go for that route.
The only way I can see it working is misleading people with a build up to a league battle between them, and then have Paul be defeated by the Tobias of the Kalos League.

I feel like they've sidelined everyone but Ash a little too much outside of a few select episodes. Especially Clemont- outside of the retaking the gym episode, he's mostly just there for gags. The one where he made an invention for TRio was fun, but didn't really develop him much. Really looking forward to this upcoming Clemont episode.
As for Serena, I like the idea of her being unsure what she wants to do in life, but instead of making it seem like something she's constantly thinking about, she basically did nothing but crush on Ash until the summer camp. Hopefully from now on they'll have a better focus on it.
Eureka is Eureka and she's like 1000x better than Max.
For reference, I really like the early-series DP filler, it felt like they were trying to do things they had never done before with their filler, and they set up side characters really early on too.

DP was just amazing all around and had the best writing, I agree since pokemon actually evolved and had feelings so I like you for that one. Also Ash is getting the most development this time because he missed out like 3+ years of development because of BW.

I wasn't asking for Serena to find a goal by episode 20, I was saying that you never get the feeling that Serena was even trying things out to see if she liked it (the entire point of the character).
That part where she tried to catch Corsola, for example, never went anywhere. You don't see her sitting down afterwards saying to Fennekin, "maybe we'll practice a little bit so we can try it again". Basically the idea of "her goal is to find a goal" wasn't actually presented, it was just an excuse for the writers to sideline her. Instead of making a really flexible character that they just made her do nothing.
Now they just sort of thrust this Pokemon Performing stuff into the show. I hope they build her interest in it slowly and still have her try things out before settling on it instead of just having her jump straight into Performing, otherwise it'd make it apparent they were just stalling for new games to come out before letting Serena do anything rather than the "goal to find a goal" thing actually being used in some way.
