So /vp/ any of you got anyrivals irl when it comes to pokemon? Or just friends that you battle with occasionally? I battle my ocusin quite often. My brother, who, even knowing everything about IV, etc, privilegies hyper-offensive team with no supporters at all. Rarely, it works but usually it came to bite him at the end.
Also my cousin, who is Legendary-noob tier, for him losing at 5-0 is a very rare achievement.

I have a few friends that play competitively, one of them's actually teaming up with me for the mutli battle tournament.

The other two are rivals, I guess. One of them is great at battling, but gets incredibly cocky when he wins. The other one's normally too lazy to breed much, so he asks me for leftover pokemon sometimes. Both of them are pretty competent battlers.

I used to, back in school at least. About seven lads in my class were fixated on Pokémon, and we battled to be the best right from gens 1 through 4. Then we all went our separate ways, and I've only seen half of them since. They all still play Pokémon, but as far as if they're any good goes, even now, in the era of Super Training, only one guy knows what EVs are - so that probably says enough. It sucks to be the best.
