>>21032420Not him, but I've bred about two or three boxes of those suckers; I can't say for sure, I breed for my friends more than I breed for myself, and I've given a fair few away.
That said, just because it's not /too/ bad or as bad as it /was/ doesn't mean it's not a stupid addition. There's practically no point in having them; there's already so much variation between Pokemon that IVs are seriously not necessary, and they're only there to be tedious; not having max IVs has very little benefits.
1) Hidden Power, which could be determined with other means.
2) Trick Room and Gyro Ball, where the IVs there probably don't matter all that much because you can just use a -spe nature /and/ their speed is almost always already low as shit anyway. It might make a slight difference, but it's not much of one, especially since Trick Room is kinda shit regardless, even in Doubles.
3) Minimizing confusion/Foul Play damage for special attackers, the former being very rarely seen and the latter not meaning much because most people wouldn't use Foul Play on something with low attack anyway unless it was weak to it. Furthermore, Foul Play's not a terribly common move either.
While IVs have a bit of use here and there, they're mostly useless and tedious to breed, especially if you don't have something good to start with.
Furthermore, yeah, it does kinda suck that I'll know that the Pokes that I enjoyed playing with in the story and somewhat "bonded" with are utterly useless. Not all of those guys need Egg Moves, either; in fact, most of them don't. But I digress.
