The Hour Badge, looks like a pokeball clock that only has the Roman numeral twelve (XII) at the top.

Benjamin is the caretaker to the town's major tourist attraction, the Bronze Clock Tower. Benjamin wont leave the tower until the Player brings him the item "Gear Grease" to repair the tower clock.

This is the first gym that the Player will encounter in the region. The Gym is separated into two main rooms: an art gallery in the front and a studio in the back.
The front room has 3 pictures that must be put in thematic order (morning-day-night) to unlock the door to the next area. The gym trainers in the front are Gentlemen/Socialite trainers who wont battle you unless you walk directly in front of their view of Arturo's paintings.
The back room is the art studio where Arturo is painting a new masterpiece and will accept your challenge.

Canvas Badge, looks like a blank canvas that represents the fresh start of new trainers passing through Arturo's gym.

>Reputation
A famous artist in the region who is somewhat of a recluse and a close friend of the region's Pokemon Professor. He is very supportive of new trainers and the Player can challenge him in a rematch at the Pokemon school in the next town later on in the game.

Gym is set out more maze-like than other gyms. Utilizes mirrors that work like teleportation pads (with some going to a different spot when you walk back through), like a more complex version of Sabrina's old gym. Aesthically, it's much like the psychic Elite 4 member from Black/White - black with stars, moons, and other spacey things.

Gym badge is like pic related, except with a white sliver crescent moon instead of a rainbow nucleus.

Outside of battle, Terramort is known for his nearly obsessive research into space. He believes pokemon originated from the stars, and spends many vacations hunting down supposed meteor impacts and Fairy type pokemon.

The interior is like something out of a Salvador Dali painting. Sand dunes, a trippy night sky and trainers sleeping in beds along with a creepy tune.
If the player runs by the sleeping trainers they will wake up and challenge the player. If the player takes too long to walk to the Gym Leader then a random Pokemon in their party will fall asleep.

Slumber Badge - looks like a crescent moon with a sleeping face in it.

>Reputation:
At one time Julian was an active and respectable trainer until he locked himself away in his gym and never left. During the entirety of the battle he will remain asleep and when the player defeats him, his Hypno will give the player the badge while Julian continues to sleep.

Smoke and mirrors, each room starts out with an illusory object which the player dispels by interacting with it. Illusory trainers, walls, pickup items, etc. Maybe throw in a 3d gimmick that can be switched on by an NPC asking if the player uses the 3d effect. Trainers make use of field effects like Trick Room and Gravity.

Illusion Badge, looks like a highly decorated golden badge encrusted in gems, actually a dull grey stone.

The gym is a giant ball room with fancy water fountains and lots of trainers dancing together. Almost all the gym trainer battles are double battles.
The dancing trainer move in specific patterns that the player has to navigate through to challenge the Gym Leader.
When challenged the dancers will clear the floor and Marco will lead the Player to the center of the dance floor to battle. The music will change from waltz music to battle music at this moment.

>Gym Badge:
Swan Badge - a simple masquerade mask that looks like it is made of water.

>Reputation:
Marco is a famous dancer and coordinator who can be met before or after facing him since he is a judge in the region's Super Contests.
After winning your first Super Contest he will give the player a pair of "Sapphire Dance Shoes" for their contest Pokemon to wear.

The brothers are known for being disciplined in the Gym but constantly arguing over everything not related to battling. Later in the game the player comes across the brothers arguing, when you break up the fight their Sensei (Chuck) arrives and gives you the Black Belt item as thanks.

The Royal Badge - a bee themed queen's crown

>Reputation:
Beatrice comes from a wealthy family that runs the region's Battle Maison. After being defeated the player can find her in a cafe near her gym and she will sell the player Honey and after the player has applied Honey to 3 trees she will give them an app to track which trees have Honey on them.

A friendly 12 year old boy who loves playing in the snow as much as he loves being a Gym Leader. He's bundled up in a heavy knee-length coat, boots, mittens and an undone scarf.

Essentially an inside version of a snowy park, most of the trainers are other kids, bundled up as much as Jack himself is. Scattered around are all kinds of things, like shovels and buckets, footprints and snow angels, and even a snow fort.

Jack is there and you can talk to him, but he'll refuse to battle you until you can show you're "the real deal" by building an impressive snowman.

You have to fight the kids in order to take their work-in-progress snowmen, rather, just different sized balls of snow in order to make a snowman in the middle of the Gym on a special platform.

Once the snowman in completed (and is stacked in the correct order) Jack, observing you, will compliment your snowman and allow you to battle him.

If you get the order wrong, Jack mocks your ability to build snowmen and orders the other kids to destroy it, make more balls for you and try again. It's easier the second time since you don't have to battle anybody.

>Gym Badge:
The Snowman Badge, which is shaped like a light-blue three-layered snowman with two coal-black buttons on the middle and bottom layers. The middle layer has two deep red circles (mittens) on either side, and a deep red bucket-shaped hat is on the top layer. Doesn't have a face.

>Reputation:
Even though he's just a little kid, he's known for being fairly strong as a trainer, which has earned him much of the town's respect.

He has a huge reputation for building not only "perfect" snowmen, but elaborate and clever snow forts, which he shares with the whole town. He even builds them big enough so that the adults that want to feel like a kid again can play in them.

This one is my favorite but I agree it could be a tougher puzzle. The painting puzzle in Resident Evil (the original) was the inspiration but I tried to make it simple since it was a 1st level gym.

The gym looks like a massive forest, the shadows of the trees can hide the gym trainers. There are 3 rooms are themed spring, summer and fall. Spring is a small meadow with pink flowers, there is a switch in the center of the flowers. Summer there is switch in a tree with the darkest bark. Autumn is an area with falling red leaves, there is a switch hidden under the leaves (trainers are as well).
The last room is themed after winter and looks like a hunting lodge with a roaring fire and snow falling outside the "windows". Buck awaits the trainer to challenge him in his lodge.

The gym is built inside a seaside cave. There are sharp rocks the player has to navigate through and the player has to climb the rocks before high tide will wash them back to the beginning. If the player is on the rocks after high-tide when the wind picks up it will cause a random Pokemon in your party to "drop" an item.
The gym leader Titus will be waiting at the back of the cave on the wreckage of a sunken ship.
