I was really disapopinted by how dragalge turned out.

I expected he would be UU at best, but I never thought he'd be that bad. He's actually decent if you set up right, but he really depends on getting most of the other team poisoned and being able to use venoshock and venom drench.

Yeah. Again, though, dragalge can aboustuly rekt shit if he's used on a mono poison team, just set up tox spikes, and use dragon tail to pass it around, then give everything in the team venoshock, venom drench, and go to town

He can also learn acid armor, which helps, but with a little more bulk he'd be better outside of that, too

He's partially right. Char X is legit but it does get much more usage than normal because people like Charizard (same with Greninja). Charizard got ~870000 raw usage, Greninja got ~830000. The next ones are like ~680000. They're really popular so it helps boost their usage.

Pic related for predictions coming from /vp/ this time. There were a lot more laughing at how MCY will never be useful since x4 to SR but we all saw those already.

It dismantles stall teams because they can hardly switch in. Every wall is still going to take a shitload of damage from M-Hera's attacks.

Weezing is one of the mons that resists it STABs, it's uncommon as hell but of course you had to point it out. Rock Blast still does 38 - 46% which is pretty decent.

It shits on both of them with Swords Dance which is its most common set. Close Combat can 2HKO Skarmory even without a Swords Dance anyway.

Even if it couldn't break them, that doesn't mean it's not a wallbreaker. Charizard-Y is a fantastic wallbreaker but it can't get past Chansey for shit.

Skarmory's job is to switch into pokemon like Heracross, all it's going to do is take the first Close Combat as it switches in and then die to the second one right after. Realistically it's not going to get that Brave Bird off unless they switch in at the same time and it still has a good amount of health left.

Well no shit his predictions were wrong. That's back when we didn't know Defog and Knock Off were going to be a thing. I'm pretty sure we also didn't know Mega Garchomp has lower speed than base Garchomp before release. We can guess what's going to happen to the new megas in ORAS because it's unlikely that we'll see anything that will shift things around as much as Defog and Knock Off.
