Gen 2's stats rolled over once you hit 1024. While the stat cap was set at 999, you could bypass it with items like Thick Club, meaning TClub Marrowak who boosted with Curse/Sword Dance had the unfortunate privilege of growing weaker with its boosts after a certain point due to overflow.
Pursuit is the highest priority move in the game when it procs, only beaten out by the items Quick Claw and Custap Berry procs, and O-Power boosts.
All offensive and defensive stat boosts and debuffs can be figured out using the 2/2 ratio (evasion and accuracy has its own unique formula).
When you buff a stat, you add the number/stage of buffs to the top:
Sword Dance = +2; (2+2)/2 = 2x the regular attack.
2 Sword Dances and an Intimidate = +3; 5/2 = 2.5x the regular attack.
Debuffs work the same way, but added to the bottom:
Charm = -2; 2/(2+2) = 2/4 = .5x the regular attack (halved damage).
