Smogon's damage call is lacking certain moves, so I need help.
Which would do more damage, sheer force sludge wave, or poisoned venoshock?

Venoshock's 130 BP vs. a poisoned target is a bit more than SF Sludge Wave's 123 BP, but that's not really enough of a difference to justify using a move that's A) less reliable, and B) that incurs life orb recoil

If I remove sheer force and tell it Sludge Wave is 130 base power, to simulate Venoshock:

252 SpA Life Orb Nidoking Sludge Wave vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Abomasnow: 476-562 (123.9 - 146.3%) -- guaranteed OHKO

So Venoshock does more, but trusting poison spikes to get up and stay up is silly.

They're about equal. Sludge Wave doesn't require a turn to be any good, and causes you to take LO damage anyway.
