Hey /vp/, I was breeding Mawiles and managed hatch a shiny!

However, it is missing an IV (Spd) and has the wrong ability (Hyper Cutter).

I am preparing for a Pokemon tournament in my school, and was wondering if I should use the Shiny or suck it up and use the pentaperfect Intimidate regular Mawile I just hatched.

Thoughts?

Hyper Cutter's not ~*~bad*~ per se, as it means that Intimidate users don't bother you at all. Even if it's a huge issue, you can Ability Capsule it.

IVs... eh, Mawile doesn't really take those attacks terribly well anyway, though it might depend on how low the actual value is. Either way, it's definitely usable.

you could make it work for a trick room team if it's missing speed. but you might be sorely missing intimidate. If there is any prize involved id say go for a proper one, but if it's just between friends then fuck it and use the shiny

If people at your school aren't hardcore about competitive, use the shiny. If they are and you don't mind doing this, try asking a Powersaver to shinify the perfect Mawile you just hatched.

I'm not exactly sure what its Speed is but the IV checker says she has "outstanding" potential so it has to be decent.

I generally don't care but I just wasn't sure since Megawile's Speed kind of sucks anyways and I could just Ability Capsule it.

This is why I never breed anymore. I did like crazy, made shit ton of money (500 bucks) selling on eBay until power saves came out and now I barely touch cartridge. Showdown and power saves, all you need. Breeding is fucking stupid.
