>>21062479>>21067811>but i hope it also gets trick room so it can utterly outclass aromatisse as the best TR setter in the gameTHIS. If M-Sableye doesn't get TR, it will be hard to save it. But if it does get TR now, you will never see the end of it (in VGC at least).
Just to give you a glimpse of how good it would be as a TR inducer...
- it cannot be taunted
- it cannot be faked out
- it cannot be put to sleep by usual means
- it cannot be tricked
- it cannot be trapped
And to top it all, it can seriously work without the TR, which means semi-TR teams can pick it even when they don't want to play TR. Then, they just don't mega-evolve Sableye and all its moves go first anyway. IMO, this is the biggets thing keeping TR down in VGC: If you're lucky, you have 1 valid pick option without running TR.
WIth TR Sableye, I can see the semi-TR teams improving vastly...
- (M-)Sableye
- slow Politoed
- (M-)Swampert
or stuff like this could make up a great core. If M-Swampert gets the right stats, you could use regular Swampert in TR and Swift Swim M-Swampert without it. There could even be picks with which you can decide for or against TR on the fly, i.e. after you have seen your opponent's lead. This could get dangerous.
But of course, GF won't give Sableye TR...
