Out of the new ORAS megas, there are no new Electric, Poison, Bug or Ice ones yet.

There have to be at least one new mega for each type, who are they going to be?

IMO Lanturn has a great shot for electric, together with Magnezone.
Roserade is very likely for Poison, and maybe Seviper too.
I'm hoping Masquerain for Bug and as far as Ice is concerned, Jynx and Weavile are a given.

Which are the new Megas, /vp/?

You, why exactly did Abomasnow get it? I guarantee you it is not the most popular Ice poke. It's not even close, and yet it still got a Mega. And it's the ONLY Ice mega. The design they made is out of left field, too. There are far better ideas and far better pokemon.

Actually, I don't know how to think of it because I think it's only by coincidence that Poison even has megas since none of them are primary Poison, just secondary; Flying was also not specifically targeted, just the pokemon that so happen to have it; and Ground only has Garchomp. They were not trying to get all 18 types, but they did so anyway.

Smoochum was already done and published by the time the Jynx debacle happened. The Porygon thing was only a problem for the anime and I'm pretty sure they haven't had an episode with Porygon or its evolutions since.

magnezone i dont think so, although it would be awesome, i sorta imagine those new evolutions of existing pokemon added in 4th gen are like perfected form, for example duskclops and banette were analouges in gen 3 but in gen 4 dusknoir was introduced and nothing for banette so in gen 6 they introduces mega banette to correct, thats just my personal speculation though id love to see a mega magnezone
