Man fuck all of these. Why the fuck isn't Avalugg Ice/Steel. It says right the fuck in it's pokedex entry that it's body is as dense as steel, and it's a fucking physical tank. It makes zero sense that it was just a plain old ice type. Yeah, it would give it 4x weakness to both Fire and Fighting, but at least it would have some coverage otherwise that would come in handy.

Moonblast is better than Energy Ball in most situations, pure Fairy is way better as a defensive typing on a defensive mon.

The same reason Alakazam isn't steel type or Timburr isn't grass type.

The better question is why Florges isn't Fairy/Grass, because at that point it's wearing all that shit all over its body and the same thing applies to the Sewaddle or Dwebble lines.

Flabebe stays with one flower its whole life by sharing energy with it to keep it alive. It actually gets physically ill when separated from its flower, and that's not even going into Florges who literally fused with the flower.

My theory is that she was supposed to be the fairy mascot early in development (one is really important in the story, the availability early on, the care given to give it alt colors), but this was switched to slyveon later on when im assuming she was created.

It wouldnt of made sense to have the mascot of a new type to be a mixed type.

i consider my theory to make the most sense

It's one of the pseudo-types, Pokemon of one type that have traits of another type, but not enough to grant it that typing in gameplay.

This part of the Pokemon is usually expanded on with Megas, so you can expect Mega Florges to have the Fairy/Grass typing.
