There's nothing in the game coding for that.
If it would, it would be after a DLC, but I doubt they'll use that cave for anything else but the megastone. The powerplants however, maybe. Or wait until Z/ZXZY and they may be used then

Really though, events need to go away. You could probably cut the number of people who cheat if half if you just made all pokemon available without events. Instead, they waste time doing these events AND trying to counter cheating.

What set should I run? I'm thinking:

Hoopa @Choice Specs
Magician
Modest/Timid Nature
4 HP/252 SpA/252 Spe
Psyshock
Focus Blast
Shadow Ball
Trick

Probably for UU/RU as a wallbreaker or something.

The specs you suggested seems rad though. Dat 150 special atk under specs is nothing to scoff at.

It's definitely gonna struggle in Knock Off: the meta. I'm just trying to thnk about tier placement. Specs/Scarf with Trick seems like the way to go. Either that or some sort of Substitute set. It'll probably be high-end RU or maybe BL2.

You'll need XY to obtain Diancie, but then you can transfer it. I think Hoopa will be available to all four games, based on past events, and by the time Volcanion comes out, we may have Z/ZXZY, which may be exclusive to that, or all Gen VI titles.

I agree, anon. I'm hoping that there are actual in-game events for Hoopa and Volcanion, unlike the two seconds of crap that Diancie gets. I actually want to be able to capture my legendaries. It's a lot more fun that way. At least with B2W2, there were a ton of legendaries and events surrounding them, even though they weren't special Mystery Gift-distributed events.

Do we actually know that? I want some proof, anon. What about the locked power plant doors that people have speculated would be used for Volcanion? How has someone not looked at that yet, anyway? I guess it must be triggered by a some set flag as opposed to just being able to use Walk Through Walls or something to take a look.

I wouldn't even mind events IF they weren't a limited distribution thing. They could be like regular, free DLC. I'd be down with that. That also means they could flesh them out more and not have them on the cartridge (although that could be a pain if they ever go offline).
