I dont get why some of you are upset about the demo code. It clearly says that GAME will distribute them via N-Zone. Just learn how to Homepass and you'll be fine. And yes Homepass also works with events this way, just like the Charizard one a few weeks ago

This is the sad truth. I really don't give two shits about the demo itself. It's just a small restricted made up plot with no relevance to the actual game.
However the fact that you can transfer a mega Evolution(seemingly an exclusive one too) is reason enough to get it.

Change the SSID of your connection to a specific name (for the charizard game event it was "NintendoSpotPass5") and simply turn on your 3DS. It doenst matter if its password protected or not, as long as the name is right. Your 3DS regocnizes the name and thinks its near a N-Zone. If you use online features (like the mistery gift) you should be able to get the stuff

Why is every region getting it in such different ways, anyway? Some regions are just signing up for a newsletter or easy shit like that, some are getting them in magazines, others are going to Nintendo Zones, and then you've got places that get it from Club Nintendo Platinum membership. You'd expect they'd just select similar methods for every country, like having an account on the region's Pokemon site, and then alternative methods for regions without one.

The codes are for Oct 15th - Nov 5th, and ORAS releases on Nov 21st/28th. The codes usually need to redeemed within the time-frame they're given out, so they most likely will not be usable in ORAS. The EU Diancie codes are apparently available until the 28th, the same day ORAS releases there, so you might be able to get her.

Even if the codes can be redeemed after ORAS releases, ORAS may not actually be able to receive them, just like how HGSS couldn't get some of the event items DP could.
