Whimsi has the lowest sp. atk of all sp. attacking fairies.
Solar Beam only works well if sun is up and if its not Energy Ball has a higher damage output
Sun takes a turn to set up and boosts fire moves power against you and your other teammates, specifically your mawile.
Sun also halves waters powers if you are running Azumarill and you really should be.
Whimsi is already the fastest fairy so chlorophyll (I assume thats what you are planning to use with sun) is pretty useless.
Whimsi can do a few things really well, being a strong attacker is not one of them.
