Why don't we have more moves like Curse, that work differently between users?

What moves would you change or add to be dual?

Curse isn't even that good. On either ghost or non-ghost Pokémon. Most of the times there are better alternatives to it.

I used to run it on my Quagsire, but that would leave me with no room to use Toxic, which sucks considering how many things can laugh on Quagsire's face.

What other Pokémon would be runing it?

Except that wasn't the case, fucknut. Curse is an extremely flawed move, and the mons that use it that aren't named Snorlax are either PU or just barely NU. The high ranked stuff in lower tiers is talked about quite a bit, but even in UU Curselax is niche at best. The only genuinely good Pokemon that could possibly use Curse well is a purely offensive Ferrothorn, but it has better things to do.

Actually, Garchomp is more than just its attack stat. Garchomp has a great typing, an absurdly good movepool, speed that is so optimized it borders on perfect, and bulk that lets it switch in and set up. Hell, if it had lower attack with higher bulk it would still be amazing since it would get more chances to set up an SD.

In that case it would only be useable because of its high bulk.
If garchomp had crobat tier attack, it wouldn't be nearly as good.

Curse Umbreon is a thing. It's not OU but Umbreon is surprisingly good, and that set actually benefits from the speed drop because it makes sure you attack last for Payback. I've seen Chesnaught use it, too.

There are lots of pokemon that like high defense and are too slow to care about speed in the first place that love curse. It's not quiver dance or anything, but it does a job.

Curse Umbreon is one of the hallmarks of a low ranked shitter in UU. Chesnaught is better off running a defensive Leech Seed set since it gets scared out by most of the tier anyway.

Different people with different teams run different sets. Curse Umbreon is an established set and plenty of other pokemon have known curse sets. It's not a useless move. Deal with it.

Different sets for Umbreon would be Foul Play or Toxic in addition to its main role as a Wish passer or Mega Aerodactyl choosing between Aqua Tail or EQ for coverage. Want to know why people are so dismissive of Calm Mind Florges and Curse Umbreon? It's because their offensive capabilities are on the level of maybe a C- rank mon in UU while foregoing the ability to properly support its team.

I play UU, and I understand how teambuilding is most of the game. Choosing inferior sets that have no use in the metagame I'm playing is pointless. The surprise factor means nothing.

M-Gyarados.

M-gyarados also gets DDance, though if it DID get Curse, it would love it because also like Umbreon, Gyarados does not get Crunch and thus lacks Dark-STAB.

But unlike Umbreon, it has a fuckton of attack, base 81 Speed, Dragon Dance, STAB Waterfall, and coverage moves.
