Yeah I agree, lot of Pokemon are currently useless for this sole reason.
Fact is those stats were okay until the move physical/special split happened, basically the stats were compensated with the movepool and set up moves, but since Gen4 lot of things went worse.

What exactly has a niche that's worth noting? Nearly every one of them are outclassed completely. This isn't from just an OU standpoint, nearly every one of them are shit in VGC aswell with only a few exceptions
