Why did they do this? It's kinda understandable in Mewtwo's case as it's a legendary, but why Heracross?

I mean, I'm not complaining. Heracross is one of my favorite mons, and I love that it got such an aweome Mega. There's something really fun and satisfying about multi-hit moves, too.

So why Heracross, when not even Charizard got a boost higher than +50? To compensate for the Speed drop? To reach a certain level of power? For symbolic reasons, i.e. Herculean strength, being stronger than Deoxys and everything else, ect.

tl;dr Mega Heracross was shown favoritism in its stat boosts. Discuss.
