But yeah, lots of pokemon have access to priority moves now and it really goes a long way in determining which pokemon will outlast the others. Weather being nerfed helped this, too, by allowing more pokemon with no relation to either rain, sun or sand to flex a little bit. Even swagger was only considered for banning this gen despite being around forever because there was other stuff, weather in particular, that was outshining its ridiculousness.
