>>21112976I actually enjoy all three of the games, even though each has their flaws.
1 is my favorite, kind of a mix of a tamagotchi/monster raiser with exploration and town building. Seeing your shoddy town go to a populated one is pretty nice. I like all the management elements, and it feels rewarding when you finally get a really good Digimon. Of course it's glitch filled, but it's comfy and enjoyable.
2 i's one of my guiltiest pleasures. The dungeon crawler, recruitment, and DNA Digivolving had a ton of good behind it, with planning for Digimon with certain moves or getting new ones you wouldn't expect. But good lord is it slow. The fact you're stuck at a certain level until you fuse is retarded, as it requires tons of grinding. This way, the game is slow. But I can't help but enjoy the music, the mixed voices on attacks (I'm looking at Lillymon and your "Boom Bubble"/Flower Cannon).
3 is probably the most Pokemon-like one, but it also has the unique feature of having any partner Digimon who can become every single other playable Digimon in the game. Worse part about is the backtracking, the high encounter rates, and no real way of teleporting between areas. Overall, my least favorite of the 3,Playstation titles, I have yet to beat it.
Otherwise, for the other ones, never played 4, I really enjoyed DS and Dusk, and haven't played anything else. Just waiting for Re: Digitize at the moment.
