Who no wi-fi% here?

Did everything except grotto grinding. thinking about getting my best mons to 100. Already got a couple.

Without the wifi, it's such a ripoff. No dream world, no join avenue, no safari because no complete dex, no pass powers, etc,. etc.

I'm grotto harvesting and doing the dropped xtransceiver trades

When I got the game, I was unaware that the wifi was borked from the game. Not gonna lie, I was pretty disappointed, but I still got 100+ hours from it and I'm pretty sure I can still transfer my mons when I'm ready to upgrade.

I got mine three days before wifi was kill, and I was too busy to play during that time. I have Bank and Transporter, so I'll be able to transfer whatever I collect, but the game feels so limited without the wifi features. At least I can use the move tutors on the mons I'll transfer.

Yeah, I can see how that's a heartbreaker.

I also got White 2 instead of Black (it was the cheaper option) but it gave me easy mode instead of challenge mode. That could've really been a play extender.

I know people still use Gen V for breeding. Is there a general for that or am I gonna have to use Serebii and such?

That's correct but without Wi-Fi you only get 5 npc per day. I'm not sure if they're 5 or just 3

For all of you mourning the wifi shutdown.

I got my Nintendo DS lite and PMD, Ranger and Platinum just months before the wifi was closed.
Because I was doing a marathon, I played Pokemon Platinum few weeks AFTER the wifi was shut down.
I never played Gen V or VI to begin with. Pokemon White is waiting in my desk for me to finish Soulsilver.

So, I never was or will be able to play anything before the newest generation over the wifi.

Feels a bit better now, huh? lol

I can see why. In b2w2, there's a shop in join avenue that will speed up hatching times, for a price. At the highest ranks it hatches them instantly.

I was going to buy Gen 5 games because I checked it was the only way to transfer old mons and also have hidden abilities. But I take from this thread it doesn't work anymore, huh? So is there any way to get them in Gen 6 (HA)?

The Gen V games do not require Internet to transfer. They require Pokebank.

It seems like GF shot themselves in the foot with Hidden abilities in this respect. Now they have to make all these tedious ways to get them each game; if only they'd let the ability capsule change to the HA and all would be well.
