After a whirlwind adventure kicking the ass out of your shitty friends, rescuing a town of swampfolk from a monster that turned out to be one of your most consistent foes, capturing said swamp monster, and taking a fly-by sky shortcut to the next town over, you're more than ready to face the eighth gym leader of the region.
