People who do things legitimately and spend hours to obtain good pokemon are looked down on, while people who just type some numbers into a program and instantly get a perfect pokemon are held in high regards.
No, you're not going to bond with data, but training and raising the pokemon is still a major part of the gameplay. Why should playing the game and enjoying it be worse than just giving yourself the best shit with no effort at all?
In any other gaming community it's exactly the opposite. People who do things using outside programs, or hacking in the best possible weapons, are looked down on.
I just don't get it.
